About James:

GOC - I'm registeredIntroduced to Osteopathy as a teenage patient with headaches (and numerous rugby injuries!), it was the relationship with his family’s osteopath that inspired James to become one himself. A passion was sparked; a fascination of how the human body worked and seeing the inspirational results of so many people benefiting from osteopathic treatment, whilst shadowing as a work experience student.

James started out in manual therapy using massage, prior to completing training for 4 years and qualifying to become an Osteopath. His final dissertation and research project looked at the effectiveness of osteopathy in treating low back pain, which James continues to find a particularly interesting subject.

Since qualifying in 2007, James has maintained his continuing professional development and undertaken further courses and studies including, dry needling, ultrasound, electrotherapy, office ergonomics and kinesio taping further broadening his skills to help people with muscle and joint pain.

James attracts a wide range of patients of all ages from children with growing related pains to elderly people seeking treatment to help remain more mobile and supple. He also treats many people suffering with back and neck pain, office workers and sports people, and a keen runner and himself, James especially likes to help those with running injuries.

James’ main focus is to help all who simply want to improve their health and keep well, maintaining a strong professional ethos in all his work, but at the same time the sessions are relaxed and friendly which he finds encourages good communication.
